WHAT IS LEADERSHIP COACHING?

The International Coaching Federation definition for coaching:

Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Coaching is an ongoing relationship between a coach and a client who wants to continuously improve, achieve goals and live their best life, both professionally and personally. Coaching involves active listening and deeper discovery questions by the coach to help a client set goals, action items and accountability, all of which lead to tremendous progress for the client. It can also involve brainstorming, values clarification, answering written questions, journaling, reading materials and assessments. Working together, a coach can help clients achieve considerable progress in all aspects of their lives. That’s why it’s called “coaching magic.”

WHo benefits
from coaching?

Everyone! You’re never too young or too old to set and achieve new goals. Christi has coached clients from 19-75 years old, in all phases of their professional and personal lives.

WHAT are typical coaching topics?

There really aren’t “typical” topics, as each individual or organization has unique personal and professional goals. However, some topics Christi works on consistently with clients are maximizing limited time, work-life balance/rhythm, exuding confidence, career transitions, clear & effective communication, navigating and strengthening relationships at work and home, brainstorming new ways forward and self-care.

It is the client’s choice whether to work on a personal or professional goal. Christi's philosophy is that in today's world, achieving a personal goal will also help you professionally and vice versa. The client sets the goal, so anything goes. Christi often tell clients to bring whatever they need to the table, even if it feels vulnerable. She's had enough experience through the years that she's pretty sure she's heard it all!

is coaching affordable?

Yes. It is not cheap since it’s an investment in yourself and/or your organization, but it is affordable. Many businesses will allow you to use your expense account or continuing education budget to pay for coaching.

Those who personally pay for coaching sessions consider it a part of their overall

self- care/self-improvement investment.

Schedule a discovery call to learn more and discuss rates. We offer various coaching packages, which can be in-person sessions in Spartanburg or via Zoom.
